Not very long but it's better then nothing.

There is an article about Bute training while "listening" to a recording of a loud and hostile crowd to get used to fighting in England. lol

That opponent looked very inexperienced indeed.

You can never read too much into sparring though.

You can never read too much into sparring though.

There used to be a bloke here by the name of Jeff Harding, good fighter with more heart then ability, won a world title, beat Dennis Andries but would get beaten up in sparring against fellas with no more then 3 or 4 pro fights at times. Even amatuers would lace up with him and have him covered, he just couldn't pull it together in sparring for some reason. He usually followed them back to their cars issuing fights then and there out of frustration.

I've seen and read about others running cold in sparring over the years, expecially if the media had their tapes rolling, or if they believed a spy was in camp.

Others just plod along, saving their best work for the fight, others work on the negatives whilst others are driven by ego and go all out, sometimes leaving their best work in the gym.

That soundtrack has "oh Harry Harry...Harry Harry Harry Harry Harry hodge" in, also "Nathan Tyson da da da da" think they must have thought it was city ground when this was filmed. Post fight me thinks it will be "you never close your eyes...any more.. Grin
