Schaefer wants Pauli vs Alexander, says pauli won't be fighting Kell next.
I'm sure he will have one eye on Khan to face Alexander later this year if they can make the fight for late June or August. Khan as to get in the mix at WW soon a fight with Alexander is a decent scrap and one step towards Floyd.

Fair play to Paullie, but it is a bit sickening that he is now a "two-weight champion." I like him as a person, but I doubt he could beat anyone else in the top 10 of the division. It does make me think slightly less of the accomplishment. Still, he did what he does best and that was enough tonight. However, I doubt that it will be enough against any other solid contender on any other night.
I'd much rather he move to commentating than continue fighting. He's really not as arrogant as people think and he's very knowledgeable when it comes to the fight game.

Please God tell me this isn't true! Not Malignaggi, just about the most annoying prick ever to be put on earth? I assume the retard didn't have to have some black man dreadlock extensions cut from his hair midway through this fight? TKO? Malignaggi could not knock out a half decent wank! He had most of the stoppages on his record early in his career before he started having his hand issues... he actually can punch, he just is afraid to do so. I'm not much on him, but you are putting down a guy who has been in with some of the best fighters in this generation at 140 lbs and is now a 2 weight world champ. He's got a big mouth, but he's got a lot of heart... at least give him credit for that and don't act like you need a tampon.

While i don't really mind a Malignaggi/Alexander fight, its not exactly a thriller. And it'll keeps Kell waiting and just spinning his wheels. Every chance Alexander dethrones Paulie and then he'll want a bloody voluntary. Time for Hearn to step in and offer Malignaggi the cash incentive to take the Brook fight first.

I actually consider Pauli to be an underachiever in Boxing. He had the speed and style to be great but his hand problems ruined it. Glad he won a Title from a Champion in his backyard.
Pauli is with Golden Boy and Alexander has got an August Date on SHOWTIME and Golden Boy wants to start Cards at a New venue in Brooklyn. So Alexander is the most Logical choice financially coz they have a Date Booked and the Venue is available. It will be Pauli's biggest Payday to date. Alexander's fans can make the trip from Saint Louis plus Pauli's Italian fans in New York will also show up, so the Event will be packed.

Well then Kell should get up off his arse and head to America. Instead of going on about being a draw and expecting his career to come running towards him. HBO look after Paulie and what they pay him is more than what Kell gets for three fights I'd say. Kell is going to end up like Macklin etc. Hanging around Enland waiting for a bodybag with a belt to be delivered to Sheffield. Strike when the Irons hot, or else he'll end up washed up, 30 and travelling around getting knocked out.

Give him a chance....Brook has only just arrived at world level and since he's been with Hearn he's developed pretty rapidly. He's already taken steps towards gaining US attention, and in all fairness i'm not sure that HBO gave a sh*t about Malignaggi last night. Now he'll have their interest but only as a fall guy for one of their faves to beat....hence Alexander seemingly being ushered into the fray. Hearn should strike quickly and offer Malignaggi something substancial to come to Sheffield, but also leave an option open for Brook/Malignaggi to happen in the States if Paulie would prefer that. Either location kell would handle Malignaggi. But comparison to Macklin isn't really fair cos Kell Brook has a natural ability and potential that Macklin never had. And Kell certainy hasn't chopped and changed camps like Macklin has.

The thing for me is like almost any fight outside of a Floyd, Manny or Cotto fight Alexander vs Pauli would sell about 5k tickets at a real push in the States, they bring any of those guys over her to fight Kell and your going to double that with little effort.

Well Pauli will have none of that. Golden Boy already had plans to stage a Fight at a Brand New Venue in Brooklyn and Pauli had incentives to win,coz he wants a Home defense. It means more to him than travel to England and defend against Brook in a pact House, where he will be expected to drop his Title. So if Brook wants it,he has to sweaten the deal by offering to fight Pauli in Brooklyn and maybe even offer some of the British money. He has to do what ever it takes to get that Title shot before its given to another fighter like Alexander. As they say, desperate times call for desperate measures.

That or Goldenboy want Alexander to beat him to set up a potential Khan vs Alexander as someone mentioned earlier.

He's already been to America, in his last but one fight? Against a journeyman piggy backing on Frochs back. Is that meant to be a defense of Brooks career non progress. It wasnt anywhere near a career forwarding fight. The fact is that all thats come from Brooks camp is alot of talk and very little action. To become big he needs some big fights, which he will only get in the US. He has some rubbish american coming over now in the summer that he will no doubt beat. Then what? Call out Mosely and try get him to come to his back garden, or maybe the loser of the Berto v Ortiz fight? He needs to get up off his arse, fight more often and aim a bit higher. I was well up on Kell for the last 5 years, but the years are ticking by. He is in his prime, and his claim to fame is a shut out against Matt Hatton. Not good enough.

My comparison had nothing to do with that. I believe in Brooks ability, hence my annoyance. He is looking for a handy world title or scalp, anyone that denies that is being siilly. Either that is lazy management or a lack of belief in my opinion.
