Its just his way of trying to return serve.
But in all honesty,he ain't going to Nottingham, his handlers have invested so much in him that they won't take that risk no matter what.
Speaking of handlers, his proposed Dawson fight is at 168 and thus not good at all.
Its a sign that his handlers will do anything to get favorable conditions in fights that keeps his winning streak so he stays relevant at a time when another Young Brash AA boxer is breathing down his neck as heir apparent.
He has a coming out party on HBO in July and many expect him to win by stoppage and that will Catapult him higher than Ward.......at least in terms of popularity with the Lucrative Urban Market.

Sorry to go slightly off topic, but other than Floyd, which other 'AA fighter' benefits from the 'lucrative urban market'?! The only one I can think of is Devon Alexander but that's only if it's in St Louis.

Oh dear. It just shows that being the best doesn't mean people want to watch you.

In £ terms, excitement & entertainment > being #1.

Ward needs Froch more than Froch needs him. I'm sure he can book Halifax leisure centre to fight Chad Dawson anyway - although they would need to curtain half of it off.

They could always add Audley Harrison to the bill, maybe they could fill it then.

The person is non-other than Adrien Broner.

We can spend all day talking about how his Resume leaves a lot to be desired, but other factors are undeniable. He is skilled, flashy,is knocking out opponents and has an extrovert personality that appeals to the Urban Market.
He even has a Rap song that will be coming out soon, regardless of weather its shitty or otherwise,it will boost his popularity among Casual fans in the Urban market.
He has a Home fight in July on HBO and many expect it to be Sold out with so many Rappers and Celebrities expected to purchase Ring side seats for that Coming out Party.

If he scores a sizzling stoppage then he will outgrow Ward in terms of Popularity within the Market.

Oh are we watch boxing now for market value?. Maybe you do, personally I don't give a fek. What money has to do with this sport is all that feks it up.

Its not all about Market Value.
Skills will always count, but having that in Isolation is not enough.
Boxing is hurt business and fighters need to make the most from their work so they can retire in good health with secure finances.
So there lies my point about a Boxer needing to have skills and also Market Value so he can make the most from risking his health in the Ring.
