Just received my online voucher from One True Saxon, ended up getting some great stuff. The Made In Britain Jacket in red was a must!! Once again to all those involved thanks for a great time and to One True Saxon for donating such a great prize.

Many thanks, Haymaker (Mark)

What a great day! Thanks to Jonty for the hotel room was a big help and in a brilliant location.

was one number out in the raffle (first or second to be drawn too  Sad

Oh well we had absolutely superb seats in the arena and I managed to meet some of the fighters and got a load of signatures on the gloves i brought with me for myself and my local boxing Gym. Names included Haye, Khan, Kessler, Bellew, Barker, Groves, Mcguigan and Natasha Jonas who posts her diary on here amongst others.

Bellew in paticular was brilliant with the fans and i was never really a fan of his but got a lot of time for him now.

Definately hoping for Kessler at home next now!

The lad winning the county top was classic. Before the raffle even started he said something like "I bet I win that bloody top", then being drawn out last obviously hadn't noticed what had already been picked as a prize so gave a massive cheer, strolled up there only to see what he was left with  Grin

Once again, well done for all who organised. Roll on the next one although I have to say if its in nottingham again, whilst the location was blinding I think I will give the travelodge a swerve!

Seen a few people say it but what a great atmosphere in the arena and the build up to the fight, there was no trouble, attitude, pissed up clowns, just people pumped up for the fight, enjoying the moment and leaving elated !! Not many times you can say that at british fights of that size anymore.

What a great night, deffo an i was there moment !!

Hate to say this, Jaimie, but I agree yet again.  Certainly in our vicinity there were no drunken footie fans gobbing off and vomitting.  I didn't see one bit of trouble anywhere in the arena, which is how boxing used to be.  There was a good showing in support of Bute and some proper banter between them and the locals in good voice.  That makes a refreshing change!  I cannot immediately think of a boxing outing that I've enjoyed more than that one, topped off with a performance by Froch which was astonishing.  The elation has lasted well into this week.  Great to see so many friendly faces yet again, even the Haye fans!   Grin Wink

Somewhat off topic, but I see the One True Saxon store is closing down next week. Anyone know what that's about?

The shop has been sold, so had no choice. Get down there before the 6th June if you can. Some mega bargains to be had.
