So Chisora lost to Fury, then lost to Helenius, then lost to Vitali, and now he's good enough for Haye to come out of retirement?  What's next after losing to Haye, will he be proven enough to be an opponent for Wladimir?

That would be hilarious.  5 losses in a row and nary a backward step.

Just seen Hatton Boxing put a link up on facebook saying the Rumour is they are to fight in a bout sanctioned by the Luxembourg Boxing Commission !!!  Grin

They could sanction the fight using European trade laws, similar moves have occurred in Germany, with promoters deciding to use commissions based in Austria and Turkey in order to stage their shows.

What a farce and a kick in the balls to the BBBC lol

I wonder what penalties ****** would get if indeed he could be given any ??

Looks like they may have found a loophole.

I've seen people say this, and while there are no excuses for the Fury loss (judging by his conditioning, he obviously wasn't training properly which leads me to believe he had personal issues going on) he was outright jobbed against Helenius and gave Vitali his toughest fight. Let's twist it a bit, who is good enough for Haye to face after his farce against Wlad? If Chisora is not world level, his performance against Vitali certainly makes him at least Euro....at least.

You're not wrong.  He was in disgraceful condition for the Fury fight - looking like he'd trained for a pie eating contest only to find out at the final press conference it was a boxing match.  Past that, he's done very well.  It's just an amusing situation, that a fighter with potentially 5 straight losses might have more credibility than the majority of his contemporaries.

The bbboc deserve a kick in the stones like this. They set up a kangaroo court, made up rules and banned a fighter INDEFINITELY. They would get destroyed in court for that. It was shoddy and unproffessional. A year ban or that is fair enough, but how can Chisora adhere to there rules when they cant even come up with a conclusive punishment. Farce.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/boxing/4303225/Sun-sponsors-grudge-fight-between-David-Haye-and-Dereck-Chisora.html

They clashed in a bare-fist punch-up in Munich in February and neither holds a current fight licence.

But we are smashing through the bureaucracy to bring you the fight every fan wants to see.

As official sponsors, The Sun can confirm the heavyweights — who traded blows at a Press conference after Chisora lost his world title clash with Vitali Klitschko — will meet at West Ham’s Upton Park on July 14.

The British Boxing Board took Chisora’s licence as punishment for a spitting and slapping confrontation with Klitschko BEFORE their Munich fight.

Haye returned his licence after he lost his WBA title to the younger Klitschko, Wladimir, in Hamburg.

But Frank ******, Chisora’s manager, has beaten the red tape by getting licences from authorities in Luxembourg.

He said: “Before anyone starts screaming let me point out the Luxembourg boxing association was formed in 1922 seven years before the British Board.

“They have given their approval for the bout and it will go on at Upton Park under their jurisdiction.

“As fully fledged members of the European Boxing Union, that is what they are entitled to do.

“I never said Dereck shouldn’t be punished but the Board here withdrew his licence — they did not ban him so he can apply to any boxing board.”

On the undercard Alexander Povetkin defends his WBA heavyweight title against Hasim Rahman.

I really hope the British public will vote with their feet and boycott the fight. It stinks, the look on nobheads face when it was kicking off in munich makes a mockery of people - a complete set up.

I wouldn't waste £15 on ppv for this

I'll give this a swerve mostly due to it being at Upton Park.  I'm not going to forgive them for the beer situation there at Katsidis v Mitchell.  Plus I can see there being a serious dickhead contingent there for this one.

Upton Park is a sh1th0le, no beer and how can you have 100s of finger rolls and no sausages to make hot dogs its not rocket science to get the order right.

Its a pi55 take of a fight and makes haye v fraudley look like a world class event.

All praise the voice of reason and downright good sense!  I don't doubt for a minute that this debacle will make money, but I despair that proper boxing fans would give a toss for it.

Aw c'mon Sez, think again.  It would be more of a punishment for the guy, what's he done wrong?   Grin

This will be a cracking fight.

How many eeediots here (and there was plenty of us!) got fooled into buying or going to Haye vs Tin Man Lion*, yet you're going to boycott the most competitive, biggest fight in British heavyweight boxing since Lewis vs Bruno?

Oh, they had a little dust up in a bar.  How evil of them. Roll Eyes

* no heart, coward
