Give cotto his due he gave it a good go despite still falling way short, he can be very proud of his efforts and am glad he never took the beating I imagined he would.

Cottos conditioning was great tonight, I don't think pre Diaz he would of had that in him tonight.

Floyd was pure class and entertaining, another top performance by the world's best.

Good performance from Cotto and sure class from
Floyd. But by god did the commentary drive me  mad.
The colonel has been woeful in the last few fight I heard
him calling but tonight took the biscuit. It was like mayweather
tv or something he was working for. There is on1
there to even run Floyd close.

Really enjoyed the fight, I'm a big fan of both fighters but floyd tonight proved to me why he's the best in the world. Cotto really did put everything into it I think, changed tactics a few times and still floyd found a way to win. I rate floyds win over cotto higher than pacquaios because of the weight. I do wish that the pacquaio fight would be sorted and I can't see it. Hope floyd one day gets the true respect he deserves

Benny Ricardo was woeful.

He is right up there with Watt and McKenzie for me. Hell he kicked their asses tonight in the long-brown-tongue dept.

Bob Sheridan and that other guy didn't give Cotto his fair dues tonight - it was sickening how little credit they gave him. The best man won and was a pleasure to watch yet again.

Floyd proved why he's a Master in neutralizing left hook. Not only that,Floyd established his Jab early and pretty much took the fight away from Cotto.
He was very entertaining in that he actually traded with Cotto in some parts and he really sat on his punches.
This Cotto had the best training Camp ever and camp in best conditioning,so thus why he was able to survive the distance. But he got cloaked with so many right hands to the chin, uppercuts, hooks and some body shots.
He fought bravely and deserves his Payday.
He will look back and realize Floyd is way above him in class.
After the PPV buys are in,we will be further away from the Pacman fight coz more stumbling blocks will be erected.

Larryt Merchant keeps on getting worse with age,Max Kellerman did a much better Job last week and lets hope HBO give him the Gig coz he knows how to keep the mood bright.
Old Fart Merchant always dampens the atmosphere with his Negative BS and dreary voice.

Wow styles really do make fights.
How do you guys think a Pacquiao fight would end now that we found a little bit of clue on how to land a punch on floyd? I'm talking about Cotto's left jab that blooded Floyds nose. I give Floyd all the credits for changing his style a bit by going toe to toe but I doubt he would do the same against Manny.

Great fight, gutsy effort by both guys. I avoided the HBO broadcast and that of Bob Sheridan, I'm glad I did, by the sounds of things they p!ssed alot of people off by having their tongues hanging out of Floyds rear end.

The fight went as I expected it to go, competive and yet clear. I tipped Floyd by scores of 116-112 or there abouts, I scored it as such.

I'm delighted with Cotto, he shut the mouths of those who gave him no chance of even winning a minute of a round never mind a round. He made Floyd look very uncomfortable at times and showed all that Floyd is far from bullit proof. Floyd bleeds, shits and has fear like every other person who enters the ring.

Different styles of course but Cotto's showing today confirmed what I've long thought; Pacman can indeed beat Floyd, I've got no doubt about it. Watching Manny pummel Cotto for 12 rounds and then having to go into deep waters yourself with the same guy wont have Floyd jumping for joy at getting it on with Manny anytime soon. I have a feeling the big one is very much dead in the water now.

Great fight just as I expected.

Conversely, Floyd won every round at will against Marquez who has persistently given Pacquiao fits. Manny also shows a lot of punches, especially his jab. Mayweather would counter him to death IMO.

Ummn,do you know the meaning of deep waters?
For starters Floyd was in full control of this fight from the opening Bell.
He was in never any danger at all nor was he busted up like Pacman who suffered 2 black eyes and a busted ear drum against Cotto.
He wanted to make the fight entertaining so he took more chances by trading with Cotto, even dropping his hands or leaning against the ropes inviting Cotto to throw his left hook.
Still he beat Cotto at his own Game.
If it was not for Cotto's much better conditioning in this camp,Floyd would have stopped him.
Against Manny Cotto was weakened to fight at 145 catchweight, unlike today when he came in at a healthy 154 without having to starve himself in Camp.

Marquez suffered his worst defeat against Floyd who deliberately allowed him to see the 12th round by declining to go for the KO as instructed by his Uncle after the 9th.
The fight was so one sided that Tony Weeks wanted to stop it.
Yet the same guy who Floyd toyed with, always gives Pacman nightmares and beat him not once, not twice but 3 times in the eyes of many.
Which ever the case,Manny was even more found out in the 3rd fight than anything else.
So Meh!

Yeah maybe so, but I see that fight as alot more even then what most think it will be. Pac is instantly dismissed by many as having next to no chance against Floyd when in reality, it's never really been so clear cut in my view. Floyd had a big advantage with weight, height and reach on Marquez. Floyds speed and reach was too much for Marquez to handle. He was bloated and looked flat. Pac took the fight to Juan and was countered beautifully with combinations. It was all down to styles.

Cotto hasn't exacly set the world on fire @154 and most, if not nearly everyone thought he was slowly on the decline. He was far from washed up and was more on the slide imo. It was said that he wasn't fast enough to catch Floyd and was to mechanical to cause Floyd any problems yet he found a way to break through his defence.

Pacman is as fast as Floyd and can fire combinations off like a machine gun, he darts in and out, can shoot from range and has the style, angles and power to give Mayweather fits. The biggest factor is his stamina, he can go at a frantic pace for 12 whole rounds, something Cotto wasn't able to do.

I'm not saying he would beat Floyd, just that after seeing someone like Cotto getting through with a pretty basic style, I have no doubt someone like Manny 'could' beat him and that fight is alot closer on paper then some think, or want to believe.

Cotto's downfall was definitely all that pink he was dressed in!  He looked like a Gay Rights march leader for Christ sake!  And what's all this about him sleeping with some fat bloke?   Angry
On a more serious note, a very entertaining fight, with Cotto giving it his all.  Unfortunately it was not enough and he was clearly outclassed.  I still cannot stand Mayweather, the prick, but all credit due to him for that performance.  I also still believe he will not face Pacquiao
