Well, why is it that most of the uk laws are based around maritine law? and acts?       21ST century and we are still governed by out dated laws and statutes.   This counry is based in COMMON LAW.......  its the "strawman"stuff again.

Just as the bible is a weapon to keep the masses in thier place "fear of god" so our acts and statutes do just the same today, all over the world. Learn your rights people.

Know your rights and the "legalese"

Oscar tweeted something about him making a shocking statement the other day and Manny has released many statements trying to deny it

Anyone know the true story? Gay rights group have started a petition to get Nike to drop there sponsorship of him.

In my experience, total c*nts like this bloke are only too willing to be recognised by their birth name as soon as they become a victim of crime, as opposed to the suspect.  No doubt he'll get his, karma is a wonderful thing!   Grin

As an ex police officer, i dissagree. Ive seen how things can get out of hand 1st hand.  People really do need to understand the LAW and stand up for thier rights before we lose them altogether.

Check out you tube for hundreds of examples.

That may be true Chris, the fact still remains he was within his rights. If we simply choose to ignore them (our rights) they will be taken away even further. The case above was probably a poor example. I just want people to know they do have rights and we need to defend them or lose them.

Maybe this could be a better one.

Put simply, if no crime has been commited, or person injured or suffered loss or damage, the police and hitlers have no right to ask for i.d. or to stop you filming in a public area. They need to have reasonable suspicion Or evidence of such. As long as you are polite, they have no rights over you. Stand by your rights.

Kev it's just people being f*cking awkward again! Walking past a police officer who is fining a woman for talking on her phone while driving (which I wish would happen more often), and he stands there for no reason filming it, just because he thinks he's clever as he's done a bit of research on rights. Plus he has a gun on him Roll Eyes It might be legal to have a gun there, but f*cking hell it's not a fashion accessory!

It is all well and good knowing your rights, always provided you balance them with your responsibilities as a citizen.  And every citizen has a constitutional responsibility to assist the Police with their enquiries, in order to maintain something bordering upon a lawful society.  Rebels without a cause and general nobheads with a chip on their shoulder do very little towards the status quo.  Anarchy is their only purpose, but then they'd soon bleat that they have less rights than they did.  They continue to pour scorn upon the very system which allows them to do what they like.  Duh........................... Huh? Roll Eyes
