i think james is too big for darren mate, darren isnt a super middle and james would never make 11'6..

i know barker has had surgery recently and is back in training for another fight soon.

Think Barker will have a come back fight then depending on how well he looks it sounds like him and Murray will get it on, both have tweeted one another saying they respect each other but would love the fight. Their is not the needle of a Macklin vs Murray fight but a Barker one would still be great.

In terms of Degale am kind of past caring, he has done nothing since Groves other than fight hand picked opponents with decent reward and no risk.

James has a european title defence in the pipeline against EBU-EU champ Mouhamed Ali N'diaye 22(13)-1 http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=330757&cat=boxer

Just remember, according to Dwyer, James DeGale's talent is "off the charts" *dramatically gesticulates upwards* and that he definitely beat George Groves.

The rest of us though wait for him to do something in boxing before we begin paying attention to him once more.

A fighter who seems to have lost his way has bags of potential but for some reason its going wrong. I hope to see him back I don't mind him TBH but he seems to have lost interest since his fall out or reported fall out with ******.

Strikes me he is in contractual limbo.

These things take time. He'll come again.

Come again to what ??

I hate him with a passion but come on what has he done in the pro ranks except lose the British title he won ??

He would lose against pretty much all the top super middleweights out there.

He will win a well protected World title shot I'm sure but he isn't as good as he thought he was or anyone else for that matter.

His career will be defined as the first British Olympic gold medalist to win a world title.

Fantastic but he won't be well thought of as a world class fighter in and out of the ring when he hangs them up.

A bit unfair that the fight with Groves was a great fight I thought DeGale won by a round but it could have gone either way. DeGale as talent no doubt about that he is unpopular because he parades his Gold Medal as though its a Faberge Egg and thinks he as some devine right to be a Great fighter because of his Olympic achievement. He is not far behind Groves and took a fight away from home and fought very well.
I don't think he or Groves will ever beat anybody like Ward, Froch or even Kessler. Could he beat a Dirrell, Steglitz or Bute I am unsure but I do believe Degale would not disgrace himself who ever he fought. He thrives when ever he is against it I see Degale having a big year if he stays fit and sorts his future with his promoter.

Fair points, I am clouded by the fact I hate him.

However His problem was/is his behaviour and arrogance that has portrayed him in a very bad light to the public.

He is talented but went about all it the wrong way thinking he is a big superstar already,  for example where is the world title shot he promised everyone he would be getting before the Olympics ??

His mouth just run away with him and he has been shown up in the ring as not as good as he thought he was and an absolute knob out of it.

He also knows this, he knows he messed up with the groves thing, he realises he maybe isn't as great as he thought he was.

The test will be how he comes back from all this.

I think he will win a world title and make loads of money, but will he be the legend in his own lifetime !?!?

I doubt it personally.

The fact that people dislike him so strongly will actually do his career no harm if he becomes more successful, the talent is there. If he can win a world title and defend it a few times I would say that's a pretty decent pro career will he be a legend of the SMW ranks far to early to tell.
