Looks like the Kessler fight isnt going to happen this year  Sad

Also from the way Froch was talking on Ringside it wouldnt appear that Pavlik is next in line for a shot at the Cobra.

Who would you guys like to see him face?

Its a pity George Groves career has stalled because if he had another few fights & wins under his belt this year it might have been a good time to make that fight (for both sides IMO)

Pavlik in Nottingham seems like a decent fight imo....theyd be some decent build up and Pavliks still a decent name in boxing however it should be a comfortable win for Froch. I cant see groves competing v Froch tbh. Would like to see Froch unify v Stieglitz but for some reason Abrahams got the shot.

yeah the Stieglitz would have been good but suppose Pavlik wouldnt be a bad choice of opponent, he's hardly a bum.  Just seemed like it wasnt what Froch wanted next

Yep, itl be a massive shame if Froch was to retire without unifying the super middleweight division. Imo Froch will be odds on to hold all 4 titles should Ward move up a weight.

the current pavlik is a 'ghost' of the 2007 Pavlik

it would be a filler fight. not that he doesnt deserve one. but can anyone see anything other than a savage one way beating?

Nope, but theres only a couple guys in the division that wouldnt be on the end of a one sided beat down, Kessler dont seem to fancy coming to nottz, Wards fighting Dawson and Dirrell will just run again. Apart from that its just a list of people who will get smoked.

I think Adonis Stevenson is meant to be fighting Don George for the mandatory spot now as Dirrell bottled it.

WAR FROCH

Really dont want the Stevenson fight.

Froch needs another "named" opponent to carry on this streak!

Pavlik fits the bill as in:

He is a name
The fight will sell
He wants the fight and will come to the UK

Whether Bob Arum lets it happen or not is a different stroy.

would def attract the fans out and lets face it, Carl deserves an 'easier' fight after his last few years and lets face it, we dont want him losing the belt before the Bute rematch and any possible unification fights in summer 2013

Froch-Pavlik would be ideal.

I, like everyone else, was hoping for the Kessler rematch for later this year, but a fight with Pavlik is not too far off that.
