Broner as done himself no favours with Goldenboy and HBO but fair play to Escobedo's team they have forced Goldenboy to double there man's purse and Broner as to pay him $30k as well as the Ohio commission $30k. I don't like the situation though it is a form of cheating and there is nothing worse when one fighter as the discipline to work hard to make weight and the other can't be arsed. If Broner beats this lad easily he gets nothing but negative comments a bit like Rios when he fought Murray.
At least Rios attempted to make weight. Rios looked like a zombie. Maybe that's not fair on Broner, maybe because he's black he doesn't show the effects as visibly, but that's irrelevant, but given his public diet and failure to make the next day weight, he's obviously not prepared to risk his own health.
