Instantly forgettable fight (unless your name's Quigley that is).  Smith was gifted that decision.  Very difficult to score but no way did Smith do enough overall

Doubt it

Horrible fight ,had it a draw myself but glad smith won as he seems to have a bit more about him and if there was a rematch just think he would start at a higher tempo knowing tony will likely tire

Ok...That was gash  Angry

Horrible fight to watch...horrible fight to score.... Horrible fight period.

You could've made a case for either guy winning. I was surprised to see that Quigley was the stronger of the two.

Definitely would not care to see a rematch - That was pony.

Just got back home from an evening at the Echo. I had it at the score the 1st judge had - 2 rounds to Quigley. Smith I felt threw the better punches but wasn't busy enough or aggressive enough to win. I didn't think it was as bad as its been portrayed? Maybe i'll change my mind when I see a TV re-run.

As an aside - what a suprise to go to a UK boxing venue where its not full of dickheads again  :Smiley

Too many times

I'm made up, he just seemed to wake up with 3 or 4 to go and definitely won all of those later rounds. The rest you could have a made a case for going either way I suppose but I thought Paul clearly won the fight. I'm obviously biased though, I'd need to watch it again.

Thought Quigley fought a clever fight by switching his stance and smothering Paul's best work at times but he was a right dirty f**ker, elbows, head, holding, think he thought he was at the Wolfslair with his auld man

Brilliant on him winning the Lonsdale strap though  Grin

Just got home,  there was a lot of vocal support for Smigga in the arena.   Plus the usual smattering of knob heads kicking off.

Tough fight to call but I had it 1-2rds Quigley.

Well happy for Smigga though  Smiley

Gave this one a miss due to the idiots. Once i seen the press Conference you was bound to get hangers on

Thought the bill itself came across well on sky though, gavin and de gale both showed improvement again and bellew well blew his opponent away.Cox's fight was a bit of a disapointment but cant blame him for that

Overall decent 2 hrs from the armchair fans view even if the main event was scrappy

There seemed to be alot of boo's directed at Degale again but he answered that with a decent performance so fair play to him.For Gavins next fight id like to see him in with a bigger, stronger apponent but good win all the same.

Degales punch technique is disgracefull, i would have hoped by now that would have been beaten out of him, but alas his slapping was still there

I thought his technique has improved quite signifficently, the slapping was still there, but a lot less and a lot of the punches he was firing in was delivered well.

On the fight i personally had Smith by 1 round, Smith has the technique and flashes of a world champion but mentally somethings not quite right there for me, sometimes i think hes over thinking about what hes doing just doesnt letting his style flow naturally for long enough periods.

I thought it was funny how Watt loves Quiggley all the way and ended up giving it a draw, what a crap commentator he was. Ive read a few people calling it a fix, but anyone who thinks that knows nothing about boxing, as the fights were hard to score and Quiggley was walking forward but there was very very little quality thrown by him.

couldn't have argued with the decision either way in this one, very scrappy fight and a hard one to call.
