I would say i have to agree with Jim there, that was Ricky's night.

Glenn Mccrory picked lewis vs tyson that you can watch if you look down the right hand side

I've had more exciting nights this past decade but they didn't involve boxing! Wink

I find that slightly amusing considering how negative Watt was about Ricky that night in his commentary.

This is a good thread for others to pick their's. In terms of magnitude, I'd go for Hatton vs Mayweather.

I would have to go with Calzaghe v Lacey While i was also at Hatton v Tszyu That fight was pretty even until Ricky started to get on top but Joe's total domination Of Lacey from the first bell to the end was incredible the record that Jeff brought with him was formidable it's easy now after the event for all the hindsight scientist to say he was always crap but these were the same guys posting before of how Joe was going get battered. yeah it has to be that one for me

You obviously know nothing about boxing then  Grin  Wink

Yeah i would say Ricky vs Tszyu and Mayweather where mine, regardless of the result the Manny fight just never seemed to reach the same kind of buzz at all as the Floyd fight did.  I suppose thats where clever side of Floyd comes in by making people hate him so much.

Ricky Vs. Tszyu gets my vote too, even better because I was there!

For sheer excitement though, nothing tops Castillo-Corrales 1.

There was something extra special about that fight, it was amazing. Regarding Watt's commentary at the time I don't think he was negative, critical, yes, but that's his job, and for me one of the great moments in the fight was when Watt commentating, said 'Ricky Hatton is gonna win this!', it just articulated what we were all hoping and thinking, as well as the excitement of such a great, momentous fight.

My night of the decade would be Calzaghe v Jones at MSG. Just for being there in the best arena in the World and watching Joe finish his great career on a massive high

yep, it was a great night... I remember watching it in amazement of how brutal of a fight it was and fast paced. Ricky was on Tszyu pretty much every second of the fight.
