Hall announces retirement following KO loss to Konecny

Lukas Konecny (45-3) took the European light middleweight title with a hard fought but dominant performance over Manchester's Matthew Hall (23-3) tonight on the Magnificent 7 show tonight in Birmingham.

Konecny put Hall down then stopped him in the 6th round for the title vacated by Ryan Rhodes who withdrew with injury.

"If I cant fight at that level, then I'm not as good as I thought I was.. and i'm done now, I'm retired." said a forlorn Hall at ringside.
