Michael Jennings return cancelled

Mick Jennings: Out of show

Luckless Michael Jennings' return fight against Scottish champion Gary McMillan because of a ruptured knuckle injury, sustained duirng his final sparring preparations.

"Iím gutted and itís the story of my career" said the former British welter boss.

The Chorley fighter has been out of the ring since a serious cut occured during his September clash with Sheffield's Kell Brook.

Incidentally Brook's career is in the slow lane again with no fight pencilled in on the horizon and rumours of his contract soon to expire with Frank Warren not aiding the situation.

Their fortunes are in stark contrast to Matthew Hatton who fought in America for good money and the chance to win a WBC world title at the weekend. Whilst he was not successful, bigger fights are on the horizon after Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer liked what he saw in Hatton and declared he will get him a crack at a 147lb belt holder this year.
