Team McCloskey: Paul and the public were ROBBED !

Angry Barry Hearn has hit back at the way his charge was stopped last night in his attemtp to take the WBA world title from holder Amir Khan last night in Manchester.
"The cut is almost non-existent, when you look at it. It's fanciful to think that was a dangerous cut." said Hearn.
"From what I saw of that referee he should never be allowed in a boxing ring again. You don't take away people's dreams like that and rob the paying public.
"It was the most staggering decision I've ever seen at any ring at any time anywhere in the world." concluded Hearn who has promoted (amongst others) Frank Bruno, Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, Lennox Lewis, Naseem Hamed, Steve Collins and Herbie Hide.
McCloskey had lost every round until that point and thus the judge's decision went against him, but by no means does that mean McCloskey wasn't beginning to come on strong when the decision was called.
"Amir Khan is a decent man and he would gain a lot of friends around the world if he did the right thing (and grant a rematch). It's an embarrassment for us all to be involved in a fight like this where we are so clearly robbing the public."
Meanwhile the champion fire back at Hearn and McCloskey, declaring that a rematch was unwarranted because he'd won every round until the finishing point came.
"I was hurting him, I wasn't tired, and I promise you if it had gone two more rounds he would have been knocked out." Said Khan.
"There is no point in a rematch."
