Mayweather: Khan will get whooped again by Peterson

In an interview across the pond with Boxingscene.com, Floyd Mayweather's uncle Roger believes that Amir Khan will take a beating in his much-publicised rematch with Lamont Peterson.

"He’s going to get his ass whooped again -I told you he was going to get his ass whooped the first time! He’s going to get his ass whipped again." declared Roger from his gym.

The celebrated trainer then went on to describe how sometime a fighter simply has the other man's number and he believes this is certainly the case with Lamont Peterson and Amir Khan.

The rematch is to be held on May 19th at the Mandalay bay casino in Las Vegas.

Many casual observers believe the fight is won or lost for Khan by the referee, with people leaning towards a certain Khan win should referee Joe Cortez get the nod.

Cortez has endured serious criticism for interfering with "inside fighting" during bouts with Ricky Hatton and Marcos Maidana.

Hatton was pulled back several times a round against Floyd Mayweather, unable to work his game plan.

Marcos Maidana was equally enraged with the constant intervention of Joe Cortez during his fight with Amir Khan at the same venue.

"I thought at one point he was going to hit me." said Maidana of the referee after the fight.
