Kelly Pavlik believes his return to HBO television next month will launch the second phase of his career, acording to an article in the Youngstown News.

The former middleweight champion fights Will Rosinky (16-1, 9ko) at the Home Depot Center on July 7 in Carson, California.

"Nothing against fighting on ESPN but they’re (HBO) on the top. I fought on HBO when I won my first title and they want me back on it again - It’s a step closer to fighting for a world title." said Pavlik.

"He comes to fight. I haven’t seen too much power from him. I don’t think he’s a big power puncher and his chin’s a little iffy." he said of his opponent, who's lone defeat came in a grudge match against Edwin Rodriguez. "He’s not overly fast, but he’s not slow and he’s in really good shape."

Victory for Pavlik could lead to a world title shot at the end of the year, according to his manager Cameron Dunkin.

"I have no idea who it will be yet but it’s going to be pretty big, so I’m pretty excited." said the fighter.
