After a short break from his first professional loss to Chris Eubank Jnr, Stranraer middleweight Paul Allison is determined to capture his first professional title as he headlines an eleven fight card on March 8th at Ravenscraig Sports Facility in Motherwell.

Reflecting on his last bout the part time tattoo artist said “I felt the fight was stopped premature, however since I got the nod for the fight with Gary McCallum, I have been in the gym working hard and improving my power and technique.

“This is my first ten round fight and my first title fight, I am not just fighting for my pride I am fighting to bring the Scottish Championship belt back to Stranraer so they can share in my success.

I have had a good camp so far, but in the last few weeks (in the run up to March 8th) I am taking myself away to a secret training camp so I can focus my training and my sparring, and for the first time in my pro career I am seeking the help of a dietician to make sure I give 100% on March 8th”

He adds “While I will be away from my family and friends, the sacrifice will be worth it when the referee lifts my hand on March 8th !Being away will let me focus more on my fight as I will be away from any distractions.

“I can promise the people who come to see the fight a good, entertaining bout. I am not going there to lose or make the numbers up. It should be a good night and with another ten fights on the card it will definitely give my fans value for money.

Paul Allison (5-1-1) fights on March 8th at Ravenscraig Sports Facility, Motherwell in a ten round fight against Glasgows Gary McCallum (8-0) for the vacant Scottish Middleweight Title.
