Hatton: Mind games wont work on me, Floyd.
Ricky Hatton has told Floyd Mayweather his mind games won't work.
The Hitman is prepared to take everything the Pretty Boy can throw at him ahead of their five-date promotional tour ahead of their December 8th showdown in Las Vegas - live on Sky Box Office.
Mayweather is renowned for trash talking in the build-up to his fights and in his last outing had the experienced - and usually calm - Oscar de la Hoya seething.
The pair will promote their 'Undefeated' fight in Los Angeles, Mayweather's home town of Grand Rapids and New York before crossing the Atlantic for dates in Manchester and London.
And Hatton is confident of winning the psychological war long before a punch has been thrown.
"I think Floyd tries to intimidate his opponents at press conferences and weigh-ins," he told Sky Sports News.
"He tries to insult them and get under their skin, but anybody who knows me knows that when you throw insults at me, I have never been shy to laugh at myself.
"So when he doesn't get the reaction he's expecting, I think the mind games might just turn on him. I'm looking forward to it."
As for the fight itself, Hatton is just as confident.
Undefeated, Floyd Mayweather v Ricky Hatton, will be screened exclusively live on Sky Box Office on December 8. Full booking details will appear on skysports.com
Mayweather is undefeated in 38 fights, but the Mancunian believes he will never have come across anything like his own high-octane approach and in-your-face attitude.
"The two times he's come close to losing - the last time out against (Oscar) de la Hoya and the first time out against Jose Luis Castillo - are when people put pressure on him," he said.
"No-one puts the pressure on quite like I put the pressure on, so I think I've got a wonderful chance.
"The better the opponent, the better I've always been. I think the best Ricky Hatton will turn up on December 8. I can't wait."
