A new book about Kostya Tszyu written by SecondsOut’s Paul Upham went on sale on Friday October 5. The back cover of the book further details the contents.

‘When undisputed boxing world champion Kostya Tszyu lost to Ricky Hatton on 4 June 2005, many expected him to announce his retirement. But until now, Kostya has not commented on his future in the ring.

After twenty-seven years as a boxer, the past two years have been a journey of discovery and new challenges for Kostya. With the support of his loyal fan club, the Tszyu Crew, he took to the dance floor in the television smash-hit, Dancing with the Stars; spent a day at the cricket with the Australian team during their Ashes-winning series; toured Australia with his unique stage show; and helped a new generation of Russian athletes, all the time still pondering the question of whether or not he should fight again.

Despite having nothing left to prove, there is something inside Kostya telling him to just have one more fight. But at what stage does a man put aside his career ambitions for the good of his family and to avoid any risks to his health, and make the toughest decision of his career?
