John Duddy's December 8 show at the King's Hall may be back on.

Following his second round demolition of Manchester's Prince Arron in Dublin on Saturday night, promoter Brian Peters and Duddy's manager, Eddie McLoughlin, agreed that December 8 was "80% on".

Should the bill go ahead it would mean that the King's Hall would be staging two fights in seven days as Wayne McCullough is set to meet Kiko Martinez on December 1.

Promoter Peters said: "Plans for the show are already in place and we're looking at three or four title fights, including Paul McCloskey in his toughest fight. I know there's McCullough against Martinez a week earlier but there would be no comparison between the shows, only that they're both in the King's Hall. The show I would put on would be huge."

While Duddy's camp have agreed in principle to challenge WBC world champion Kelly Pavlik on January 26 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, it seems that negotiations over terms are ongoing and that could lead to the fight being put back to March 15 at Madison Square Garden. That would leave the way clear for Duddy to box at the King's Hall and have a much more meaningful fight before boxing Pavlik.
