03.11.07 Kessler exposed at weigh-in .. literally !
Despite Calzaghe's rumoured problems with the weight limit it was Kessler who exceeded the 12-stone limit by just two ounces, before removing his underwear to make the mark.
Calzaghe surprisingly came in under with a pound to spare at 11st 12lbs 7ozs.
The Welshman and his Danish opponent then engaged in the traditional head-to-head pose which briefly threatened to become interesting as they rubbed foreheads together, before the trainers wisely separated them.
Despite the looming super-fight between Britain's Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather Junior, promoter Frank Warren has said the winner of tomorrow's contest can claim to be the world's number one fighter in all divisions.
Calzaghe, a world champion for 10 years, is unbeaten in 43 fights, while Kessler, holder of the WBA and WBC titles, has won all 39 of his professional contests.
"We are not only going to find out who is the best super middleweight in the world, but in my opinion we are also going to find out who is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world," Warren said. "This is two unbeaten guys fighting each other at the top of their game, so the winner has got be regarded as one of, if not the, best fighter in the world today."
