Haye returns back to the gym; Promises to be back to health
Ever the master of public relations, British heavyweight David Haye has issued a 'selfie' of himself at the gym with the commentary that "2014 is going to be my healthiest, let's start as mean to go on"
Last year will be remembered more the troubles and injuries outside the ring for the 26-2 fighter, whom turned 33 years old just a couple of months ago.
A proposed fight with Manuel Charr fell by the wayside amidst injury reports, then Haye quickly signed to fight with fellow British heavyweight Tyson Fury.
Their pay-per-view fight hit the wall with just days to go after Haye was badly cut in sparring. Then a photograph emerged the following month of Haye laying in a hospital bed, after allegedly undergoing several hours of shoulder surgery.
If Haye recovers from his shoulder operation, it would likely not see him in the ring until the latter half of 2014.
That would mean the 'Hayemaker' would have fought just three times in four years.
But with the money involved in the Heayweight division and youth still being relatively on his side, this should not present a problem for him.
We await Tyson Fury's response with glee.
