Galahad overcomes Agbeko disappointment. Outclasses Hernandez
Kid Galahad, 22-0 (13 KOís), got closer than ever to nailing down a world recognised opponent but still didnít manage to get one in the ring. Joseph Agbeko - the two time IBF bantamweight champion - didnít pass the doctors inspection earlier this morning and was replaced by Nicaraguan journeyman Leonel Hernandez.
Galahad - 125 1/2lbs and sporting a tremendous pair of Prince Naseem inspired shorts - put the disappointment behind him and boxed rings around his outclassed opponent. The fight was stopped after three one sided rounds after the Nicaraguan suffered a badly swollen right eye. Hernandez barely landed a shot in anger but the sport relies on people like him.
Galahad, 26, wasnít shy about calling out the biggest names at super bantamweight and will undoubtedly continue to do so at featherweight. Whether any of the leading lights at 126lbs can be tempted to take the still internationally unknown Galahad on remains to be seen but the Sheffield man should be able to keep busy by playing the ranking game and working his way into contention.
