Cotto set for 2 more fights: Jose Luis Castillo and Yuri Foreman

Miguel Cotto

Miguel Cotto has disclosed that 2010 will likely be his final year in the sport following interviews with Spanish publications.

Former champion Jose Luis Castillo (60-9) looks to be a possibility as his comeback opponent. The Mexican has rattled off 4ko victories at welter since his points loss to Sebastian Lujan, his first foray at the weight in July 2008.

For many Cotto fans the news of their hero's retirement will likely to be upsetting but understandable, given the epic battles he has given them since his professional debut in 2001.

The popular Puerto Rican warrior has a record of 34-2 and his record is a who's who of modern boxing.

However the Caguas man has dispelled any talk of a rematch with his nemesis and 'loaded gloves' scandal opponent Antonio Margarito, declaring that the Mexican will never make money from his name again.

Should Cotto defeat Castillo, which is almost a certainty, then if Yuri Foreman is still the WBA light middleweight champion, it could potentially lead to a grand finale against Israeli born Brooklyn man who is undefeated at 28-0.

Foreman captured the title with a landslide points victory from Daniel Santos, on the undercard of Cotto vs Pacquiao card at the MGM grand a couple of weeks ago.
