Team Mayweather claim no talks ever took place

In yet another twist in the Pacquiao vs Mayweather saga, Leonard Ellerbe, the advisor to Floyd Mayweather has declared to ESPN boxing that contrary to beliefs and reports in the media, no talks have ever taken place between the two camps since their last meeting ended up in lawsuits and scandal.

"Here are the facts ... the truth is no negotiations have ever taken place, nor was there ever a deal agreed upon by Team Mayweather or Floyd Mayweather to fight Manny Pacquiao on Nov. 13. Either Ross Greenburg or Bob Arum is not telling the truth, but history tells us who is lying." said Ellerbe.

To add weight to the bold claims by Team Mayweather, Arum's responce was not one of denial, but of confusion surrounding the situation.

"When I heard about the statement I thought it was a joke. Ross said he was talking to Haymon. He certainly wasn't making it up. And Haymon was relaying conversations to Ross allegedly that Floyd had with him. At least that is what Ross says."

One thing seems definite, is that this fight will not be happening this year.
