02.04.08 Kristjansen vows win for Mikkel

By Anders Gomez

Martin Kristjansen (19-1, 5ko) who faces Brit sensation Amir Khan (16-0, 12ko)in a WBO world title eliminator this weekend has promised to dedicate victory to fellow countryman Mikkel Kessler.

Kessler, who lost a unanimous points decision to current Super Middleweight kingpin Joe Calzaghe in Cardiff last November is a friend of Martin's.

"My friend Mikkel Kessler lost to Calzaghe last November and I'll be making up for that when I defeat Khan"

"Amir Khan is the golden boy of British boxing" said the Dane "But I'm going to put a dent in his world title hopes on Saturday night. I'm fighting for the whole of my country and I believe I'll expose Khan"

"I've never felt so confident ahead of a fight. My Training has gone really well, and I'm in great shape"

"I'm desperate to become a world champion, and I'm going to take a step towards it on Saturday in Bolton"

Nate 'Galaxy Warrior' Campbell

However Amir Khan has a different opinion and recently stated that he would like to fight new WBO champion Nate Campbell (32-5, 25ko)after defeating the Dane.

Campbell, who upset the odds in his last fight against Juan 'baby bull' Diaz currently holds the WBO, WBA & IBF titles at lightweight and is regarded as the division's second best, with Joel Casamayor holding 'The Ring' title and has already beaten Nate Campbell back in 2003 with a 10 round unanimous decision over the 'Galaxy Warrior'.
