05.04.08 Khan Wins in the 7th by Stoppage

Amir Khan won his WBO eliminator fight tonight at the Bolton Arena in front of his adoring fans via stoppage.

Martin Kristjansen slips to 19W-2L following a buzzing attack by Khan in the 7th round which seen the Dane put down and then waved-off by referee Mickey Vann who had seen enough.

The affair was pretty one-sided with the full-on aggressive Amir systematically breaking down Kristjansen from the opening round.

The feather-fisted Dane was widely regarded as a vast outsider and was 'over-ranked' according to some boxing pundits. But Warren had no further upsets from his stable as Khan gave a superb display of speed and power.

Khan is now 17W with 13 KO's since his pro debut in July 2005 and looks towards a WBO title shot against WBO champ Nate 'Galaxy Warrior' Campbell or the 'interim' WBO Champion and arguably more dangerous, Joel Casamayor who is also the holder of the Ring title at 135lbs.
