Amir Khan Going Stateside for New Trainer....

Current Commonwealth Lightweight champion and Olympic silver medallist Amir Khan is due to do a mini-tour of the States to liaise with America's top boxing trainers.

Khan, whose recently trained with Floyd Mayweather for the day in Las Vegas during the Calzaghe vs Hopkins build up, is rumoured to be favouring Buddy McGirt who currently has British 'Contender' star Paul Smith and the IBF 140lb champion, Paulie Malignaggi under his wing at present.

"We're going to go to America after Amir's next fight to see different people. The trainers are queuing up to work with Amir," said Khan's father Shah.

"We've had loads of phone calls from trainers on both sides of the Atlantic. We've got a big decision to make in the coming week and the final decision will be Amir's."
