BIKA arrives in Canada for the BUTE fight

Sakio “The Scorpion” Bika arrived in Canada for his showdown with Luican Bute.

Following a long haul flight of 22 hours, the IBF eliminator opponent of Lucian Bute arrived in Montreal.

Lucian Bute, currently 19-0-0 16 KO, will be headlining the Bell Centre in Montreal for this hotly anticipated fight which will pave the way for a shot at the IBF strap currently held by Ajendro Berrio, who defeated Robert Stieglitz earlier this year in Germany to claim the title after Joe Calzaghe declared the belt vacant, rather than fight Stieglitz.

Bika with manager

Sakio Bika, 22-2-2 14 K, despite tiredness, addressed the Interbox-organised press conference in impeccable French at the hotel last Friday.

To prepare to face the unconquered Romanian boxer, Sakio was busily sparring in the local montreal gym and also did a few rounds with some local boxers and was impressive.

The fight is this Friday 15th June.
