Lucian Bute wins, next up, alejandro berrio

Ring Rankings

Lucian Bute improved his record to 20-0, 16KO's last night over a difficult win over Australian based Sakio Bika.

Bika, who was arguably level on the scorecards by the half way point, gave the taller Lucian Bute lots of trouble early-doors which the Canadian-based Romanian boxer just about managed to handle.

Lucian Bute v Sakio Bika

Lucian Bute struggled to find his stride until about round 6, but this point onwards it was all one way as the slicker Bute took over the tiring Sakio whom was expending lots of energy with hooks and powershots which were either missing or connecting on arms and shoulders.

Bute worked Bika from the outside and stopped playing in Sakio's hands and went on to score a unanimous decision, which didn't really tell the true story of Sakio Bika's efforts.

The three judges scored the contest in favor of lucian Bute with the scores of 118-109, 118-109 and 116-111.

The defeated Bika falls to 22-3-2, meanwhile alejandro berrio seems to be next on the boxer's radar, whom will be gunning for the Columbian puncher's IBF super middleweight crown.
