Mayweather: GBP are 'great promoters'

Top pound-for-pound fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr, in a video interview with Boxingscene, has hailed Golden Boy Promotions, calling the firm a 'great promoter' owing to the company's handling of the May 5 superbout, as well as the prompt payment of his $20 Million purse for the fight.

Mayweather divulged that the checks he received from GBP have all been on time, and even said that if Oscar De la Hoya feels that he can beat him, then all he has to do is to step up and make the rematch happen.

Mayweather, however, was not at all interested when asked about a possible bout with Sugar Shane Mosley, indicating that he has made more money in one fight than Mosley did in all his mega-fights.

The top pound-for-pound star said Mosley is just a sparring partner, and he does not want to fight a sparring partner like Mosley.

Nevertheless, businessman Mayweather conceded that the fight can be made 'if the price is right.'
